Training and Education
Our partners manage millions of acres of public and private land containing herpetofauna habitat. We help them manage it better for the conservation of amphibians and reptiles.
To date we have trained nearly 1,000 landowners and habitat managers via hands-on workshops and online webinars, to restore and manage habitats in a manner beneficial to herpetofauna and other taxa.
We have trained nearly 1,000 of habitat managers and landowners in workshops conducted by leading conservation herpetologists.
ARC restoration projects double as training events. Participating habitat managers and landowners acquire the knowledge and skills needed to restore their own wetlands. And restorations on school campuses create living laboratories for future conservationists.
We also train resource managers on how to implement the PARC Habitat Management Guidelines, delivering instruction through customized in-person workshops and online webinars.
- Social Media
ARC produces an ongoing stream of educational messages about amphibian and reptile conservation, reaching over 20,000 people on Facebook, Twitter, and other social media.
