In July 2011, an ARC co-sponsored (via Partners in Amphibian and Reptile Conservation, PARC), international symposium to address the deadly Ranavirus that impacts amphibians, turtles and even fish was held as part of the Joint Meetings of Ichthyologists in Minneapolis, MN. Speakers included 23 scientists from 9 countries with expertise in herpetology, ichthyology, ecology, veterinary medicine, immunology, genetics and molecular biology. The results of this symposium, including the program, talks, and even video from the symposium, can be accessed here: http://fwf.ag.utk.edu/mgray/ranavirus/2011Ranavirus.htm. ARC (via PARC) is pleased to have been able to help sponsor this important symposium.
